Purine Metabolism and Abnormal Behavior in Children

The study of the interrelationships of purine metabolism and behavior is, to some extent, in its infancy. It seems to us, however, that the study of human patients with heritable disorders of metabolism might, in fact, begin to give us some clues to a more molecular understanding of at least some forms of behavior. All forms of behavior are probably open ultimately for understanding on a molecular basis, but this is a more complicated problem for investigation.
