Refrigeration for Superconducting Devices

Abstract

Drs. Gregory and Mathews in their invitation to me to give this talk, suggested that my discussion should be reasonably general, in that my talk is the only one having to do with refrigeration. We also felt that most of the people attending this course would be more familiar with the physics and theoretical aspects of superconductivity and less familiar with the practical applications aspect. Therefore, my talk should emphasize the practical problems.
