The Search for Violation of P or T Invariance in Atoms or Molecules

  • P. G. H. Sandars

Abstract

My task in this talk is to review current work in the search for any violation of parity (P) or time-reversal invariance (T) in atoms or molecules. Because the field is at present in a phase of rapid development this means that I shall spend much of my time discussing experiments which are not yet completed and proposed experiments which are still under construction. Some aspects of past work are described in two previous talks by Feinburgl and Commins2 at these conferences.
