The Clinical Effects of Tetanus

  • Edward Barry Adams

Abstract

At least a million people suffered from tetanus, and half of them died during the ten-year period 1951–1960, according to Bytchenko (1966) who reviewed, for the World Health Organization, available data from around the world. These stark figures establish the importance of the disease and indicate how dangerous it can be.
