Abstract

Charge-storage camera tubes were developed with the inception of the image orthicon well over twenty years ago and have formed the class of tubes most extensively employed in television for commercial and military purposes. Basically, tubes in this class utilize the integrating and storage capability of suitable thin films for the purpose of enhancing sensitivity.
