The conceptual analysis of perceived air quality, water quality, and sonic quality emerging from the workshop discussions was summarized in the introduction to this section. Attention otherwise focused upon the development and application of indices for these constructs. The principal topics can be reviewed in light of the critical steps entailed in the derivation and use of PEQIs for air, water, and sonic environments.
