Differentiation Antigens of the Lymphocyte Cell Surface

The characterization of lymphocyte membranes is a major goal of current research in immunology. Cell-surface molecules of lymphocytes are likely to be important in a number of aspects of the immune system; in particular, molecules that are unique to lymphocytes may mediate lymphocyte-specific functions.
