Abstract

The prostaglandins (PG) form a class of natural products with many and potent biological activities. If their physiological role has not been clearly defined because they are intriguing biochemi-cals, their potency and activity in many apparently unrelated biological systems have awaken the interest of scientists of various disciplines (1–5).
