Abstract

The aim of our work is to raise the level of secondary compounds in plants, which are important for medicine and the chemical synthesis of which is either unpracticable or uneconomical. One of these plants we are interested in is Digitalis purpurea producing cardenolides. To raise the level of these products we frist tried to get haploid tissues and plants, which can be treated with different mutagens.
