Dynamics of the Destruction of Type I Superconductivity by a Current

When superconductivity in a type I wire is destroyed by a current i greater than the critical current i c the wire enters into an intermediate state whose structure, and consequently the resistance of the wire, is a function of the reduced current \(p=(i-{{i}_{c}})/{{i}_{c}}.\)
