Superconductivity of Hafnium and the Dependence of Tc on Pressure

Abstract

It is known that the superconducting transition temperature Tc increases with pressure for most early transition metals (Y, La, Lu, Ti, Zr, V). Though the origin of this effect is not clear, it presents a new and interesting systematic feature of sd transition metal superconductivity.
