Determination of 2e/h at the B.I.P.M.

Determinations of 2e/h have been made at the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (B.I.P.M.) since February 1974 by means of the ac Josephson effect. In order to compare our results with those of another laboratory with an accuracy surpassing the several parts in 107 obtainable by transporting standard cells and in order to check for systematic errors, we transported the critical components of our measuring system to the Physicalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (P.T.B.), Braunschweig and made 2e/h measurements there.
