Primary Standards for Gamma Energy Determinations

Abstract

It was intended to contribute by two different — but related — ways to the determination of gamma energy standards. A first approach consisted in the intercomparison of the two primary wavelength standards directly related to other Fundamental Constants, viz. the observation of a positon annihilation quantum, and the Röntgen ray wavelength standard. The aim is to observe in the same experiment both the 511 keV annihilation line and the W Kα1 Röntgen line.
