Species may be rare in nature or inaccessible due to countries being closed to travel but cultivars become rare for a variety of other reasons. In addition, while taxonomic changes may result in a variation of the quantity of species, they are in a way finite, while the range of cultivars is infinite. Thus I am pleased to be able to make this contribution in connection with cultivars.
