Second Sound Attenuation in Rotating 4He
Experiments on second sound in 4He in an axial mode resonator at T = 1.53 K were performed in the presence of steady supracritical heat flow (~ 10-3 w/cm2). It is shown that there is an additional attenuation of second sound on bended vortex lines. After rotation is stopped this attenuation grows because of random distribution of vortices in heat flow.
