Social problems are among the most difficult encountered in the practice of rehabilitation. As we are not able to alter the social conditions of these patients, the patients must either be accepted by their family or, if they live alone, must receive special social care. It is virtually impossible to attain full independence in cases of complete spinal cord injury.
