Abstract

A series of 154 dynamic alloplasties performed in the period 1965–1976 were evaluated. There were 73 men and 46 women. With regard to the mechanism of trauma, a majority of injuries were incurred in traffic accidents or at work by patients between the ages of 20 and 50 years. In our series, a considerable number of patients were rural inhabitants who sustained typical injuries during fall from a hay wagon, fall from the roof while making repairs, or accidents with farming machinery (Table 1).
