Reaction Between Cemented Carbides and Molten Copper

Abstract

Interdiffusion in the system cobalt-bonded WC-molten copper has been studied with special emphasis on the effects of tool parameters and of Ni-, Co- and Ag-addition to molten copper. A tentative mechanism of interdiffusion has been proposed on the basis of experimental results.
