Oxidation Reaction of Chromium Oxide (Cr2O3) in the Presence of Mm’O3 (M : Ca, Sr, Ba ; M’ : Ti, Zr)

Abstract

When Cr2O3 is heated alone in an oxidizing atmosphere, the oxidation reaction takes place at the surface of Cr2O3 particles, but the amount of oxidized product is as much as 0.4 mg of Cr6+ ion per gram of Cr2O3 assuming CrO3 as a product.
