Abstract
The title of the paper — “The Young Alcoholic — Approaches to Treatment” — was chosen by the conference organisers. The wording of the title, however, appears semantically appropriate; for a relative lack of clinical experience with the young alcoholic — not singular to the author, but currently shared by many workers in the field of alcoholism — renders any more definitive wording of the title unjustified.
