Abstract

Every once in a while a scientific workshop combines substantive interchange with a high order of joyful cameraderie. When this occurs with a group working together for the first time, the effect is both productive and pleasurable. The following summary of the highlights was quite literally stimulated not just by the flow of ideas over the first 3 days of meeting but by the manner in which all participants quickly became active partners in the intellectual interchange. The humorous tone of the poem is the only way the author could convey this happy exchange. The poem was read to the group at the beginning of the last morning to provide a stimulus for the summary discussion that followed. while the content has a special meaning to those to whom it was addressed at the meeting, it is hoped that the reader will understand that the rhyming is incidental to the reasoning.
