In this chapter we continue our development of the ideas needed for the understanding of atoms and molecules. The antisymmetry principle, introduced in Chapter 7, will play an important role. In case you haven’t noticed, it really didn’t do anything (except complicate our calculation) for the helium atom. Its consequences will be important for the three-electron atom and beyond.
