Part of the Frontiers in Human Ecology book series (FHE)

Most meetings of Commonwealth Heads of Government tend to concentrate on political matters, often of a regional nature such as problems in Southern Africa. The Jamaica meeting was somewhat unusual in that a great deal of time was given to a discussion on the economic relationships between developed and less developed countries. This was largely at the instigation of the British Prime Minister, Harold Wilson.
