Abstract

There are many publications on the gonade morphologic and functional stimulation with gonadotropic hormones (GH). However there are no descriptions of the bioenergetic effects of the GH on the gonade cells. It may be suggested that this has a significant effect on their stimulating action as the increased mitosis in gonade cells demands a solid supply of energy.
