Effect of Radiation Damage on Lattice Location and Hyperfine Interactions of Impurities Implanted in Iron

Abstract

Previously, we studied radiation damage effects via electron microscopy, hyperfine interaction (hfi) and lattice location experiments1 in Yb-implanted Fe, before and after annealing. Some form of ytterbium precipitation was shown to take place during a well defined annealing stage around 450ºC.
