Summary and Concluding Remarks
This conference has covered a great deal of ground, bringing together people from both theoretical chemistry and solid-state physics. The main theme of common interest is the calculation of electronic wave functions for complex systems. Another important theme has been model building in general, the subject of several interesting papers. In many cases this becomes a study in statistical mechanics, but the parameters must be obtained from electronic wave functions. My remarks will be concerned primarily with the choice of methods for computing electronic wave functions.
