  • V. E. Ryzhenkov

The interest in brain monoaminergic mechanisms in the control of anterior pituitary functions has considerably increased. The present paper discusses the results of investigation of the activity of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal system after pharmacologically induced changes in brain monoaminergic mechanisms. For this purpose, drugs blocking central m- and n-cholinoreceptors and agents changing the catecholamine synthesis and their storage in tissues were used.
