Abstract
We have just heard three excellent summaries and many excellent floor discussions of the progress being made in mathematical modeling of continuous combustion systems. It is clear that a powerful set of tools is being applied to this problem and that the current and past work in fluid mechanics, kinetics and computional techniques offer opportunities for the study of combustion equipment that were not available for use during the early design period of the gas turbine.
