Brain Amine Metabolism in Some Neurological and Psychiatric Disorders

Abstract

The principal amines which will be considered here in relation to neurological and psychiatric disease are the catecholamines, dopamine (DA) and noradrenaline (NA), and the indolealkylamine, 5-hydroxytryptamine (5HT) or serotonin.
