  • Gerald P. Murphy

Abstract

During the annual session of the American College of Surgeons in Chicago, October 14, 1970, Herbert Brendler, Willard E. Goodwin, Peter L. Scardino, and Perry B. Hudson met at the Palmer House, to record vignettes that touched on the first days of W. W. Scott at Johns Hopkins. Three were house officers at the Brady Urological Institute when Dr. Scott arrived in October 6, 1946. Dr. Hudson was Dr. Scott’s first appointment to the house staff to replace C. V. Hodges. A recording was made of the meeting of the four former house officers. Below are some excerpts from this meeting.
