Lipid Metabolism in Human Diploid Cells

  • Chapter

Abstract

The human diploid cell lines presently available provide a unique system for studying human tissue at the cellular level. In addition, the limited capacity for doubling displayed by these cells has been interpreted as senescence at a cellular level. Hence, human diploid cells present an interesting system for the study of aging in vitro.
