Molecular Mechanisms Programming Morphogenesis and Differentiation. A Theoretical Analysis

Abstract

Although in previous chapters in some cases we have attempted a theoretical analysis of some aspects of morphogenesis, the main purpose of these chapters was to describe the up-to-date factual material, presented systematically and in logical sequence, and also to indicate the problems still requiring explanation and further experimental analysis. We examined many phenomena and processes concerned with morphogenesis on its molecular-genetic plane. However, we did not examine many more phenomena and processes because of absence or inadequacy of the available factual material.
