Abstract
There is much interest in quantum electronics in tetragonal crystals with the structure of calcium tungstate when the dope is a transition metal; to extend the wavelength range of masers and to increase the performance, one needs to examine homologs of scheelite containing various dope materials. Here we present results on the growth of single crystals of the tungstates and molybdates of calcium, strontium, and barium containing various paramagnetic ions.
