Electroionization CO2 High-Pressure Laser
Let us examine the well-known working-level scheme of carbon dioxide lasers (Fig. 29). This scheme was first proposed in the U.S.A. by Patel in 1964 . The mechanisms whereby the CO2 laser levels are excited was investigated by many workers, and a detailed discussion of this mechanism is contained in a number of reviews [55-59] and original articles (see, e.g., ).
