Abstract
In this chapter, we shall calculate the complex polarizability of an ideal ionic lattice, including anharmonic terms of the third and foruth order in its Hamiltonian. The calculation will be made by the method used in the work of Bogolyubov, Bonch-Bruevich, Zubarev, and Tyablikov, constructing and approximately solving a series of linked equations for the retarded Green’s functions (see [39, 40]).
