Abstract
The basic principles of laboratory quality assurance, with detailed descriptions of how to implement them in the modem laboratory, have been described in previous chapters. Such implementation comes with a price, and it is the function of the laboratory manager to decide the extent of the rigor of the program for his or her laboratory, consistent with the laboratory’s needs and the financial constraints.
