Function, Composition, and Arrangement of the Specifications

The two principal documents of the construction Contract are the Plans and Specifications. They provide the information necessary to guide the Contractor in constructing the project and fulfilling his contractual obligations. Information that can be effectively portrayed graphically is shown on the Plans. Information and instructions which can be more readily described in words are presented in the Specifications.
