Abstract
As it has been proved in pp collision at the CERN-ISR several years ago1), the subtraction of the energy carried away by the “leading” particles (i.e., the particles which take one or more of the incident hadron valence quarks) from the total interaction energy is of paramount importance to determine the real energy involved in multi-particle production and, therefore, to compare multi-particle production in different interactions (purely hadronic, DIS, e+e−).
