Abstract

One of the problems which arises from our research is the concept of continuity and discontinuity of cognitive development. Piaget makes clear that we observe a functional continuity and a structural discontinuity in cognitive development by functional continuity we mean for example, that one can find in sensorimotor intelligence, the practical equivalence of classes and of relations which later are going to be constructed on an abstract level.
