Abstract
It is found that small values of σ in zero range Skyrme interaction -tOδ(r1-r2) + t3δσ(R)δ(r1-r2) lead to smaller values for the compression modulus. It would therefore be of interest to study the limiting case σ → 0; this leads to a delta — log interaction for binding energy, effective two body interaction for single particle energies and the effective particle-hole interaction. This interaction is used to study the isotope shift.
