Abstract
The objective of this chapter is to provide the reader with a review of certain aspects of fetal growth as they relate to obstetric management. The term “obstetric ” has been used in a narrow sense, which has limited the scope of discussion to clinical issues. Emphasis has been placed upon the gross morphologies of the fetus as they relate to obstetric management because functional development has already been covered in detail by other contributors to this volume.
