Abstract
The papers in this section review both historical records as well as recent studies which highlight how malnutrition, specifically maternal malnutrition, may depress reproductive performance in human populations. In these reports attention is focused particularly on nutrition and its effect on the reproductive life span, on fecundibility, and on survival of the offspring.
