Abstract

Conventional radiography and, in recent years, more sophisticated modalities such as computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) play an important role in the detection of a rich spectrum of extrapulmonary diseases that may exist alone or accompany pulmonary and mediastinal lesions. The present chapter will discuss specific abnormalities of the pleura and the chest wall with special attention to the most reliable imaging techniques in this area.
