Part of the Undergraduate Texts in Mathematics book series (UTM)

In this chapter we continue the study of the theory of parallels with an investigation of some basic consequences of the hyperbolic parallel property. We shall be interested in, among other things, the sum of the measures of the angles of a triangle, in the behavior of the critical function, in classifying types of parallel Unes, and in the determination of an absolute unit of length.
