Abstract

Two 13-year-old boys have been arrested for investigation of malicious arson in connection with setting 67 fires in the San Fernando Valley over the last six months. Los Angeles County Fire Department investigators say one youth confessed to touching off 38 blazes and the other to 29. The boys, who were not identified because of their age, are being held in juvenile placement homes while awaiting trial. According to authorities, they belonged to a “Pyro Club” which operated out of their junior high school.1
