Abstract
Human kidney tissue contains high concentrations of various proteases; especially the epithelia of the proximal tubule are rich in leu-(ala-) aminopeptidase (AAP) and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) activity,, enzymes which are bound to the outer luminal plasma membrane 1.
