Abstract
A significant part of the effort directed at a better understanding of the principles governing peptide hormone action (release, transport, receptor interaction, metabolism) is devoted to studies of their precise three-dimensional structure. Most biologically active peptides have been investigated with varying intensity, thoroughness, and follow-up as to their solution conformation and its possible significance for biological activity.
