Part of the book series: Residue Reviews / Rückstands-Berichte ((RECT,volume 37))

Abstract

The aim of this review article is to summarize the various methods which have been used at one time or another for qualitative and quantitative determinations of residues of phosphamidon and its major metabolites in plant and animal materials. The methods used over the past ten years were developed in many laboratories all over the world, and cover a wide range of different analytical procedures. Some of these procedures are well known to residue analysts, e.g., enzymatic methods or total phosphorus determinations. Others are recent improvements of known techniques, or new developments, which are described in this article for the first time. This paper will also evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the methods with regard to sensitivity, specificity, reliability, and ease of operation.
