Abstract
In conjunction with the First International Kurt Lewin Conference, held at Temple University, the Department of Psychoeducational Processes (PEP), under the direction of volunteer faculty members and students, initiated an action research project involving other graduate students in PEP and a local community organization. After some negotiations, the Hunting Park Action Council (in the North Philadelphia area), agreed to participate in a project called C.A.R.P. (Community Action Research Project) . The project would demonstrate Lewinian action research theory and practice. The following is a rationale and a report of the events that transpired.
