Abstract

The w/o microemulsions investigated were those containing toluene with styrene or polystyrene as oil phase, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as surfactant, pentanol or butyl cellosolve as cosurfactant, and water. The microemulsion regions reduced markedly as the concentration or the molecular weight of the added polystyrene was increased.
